I have a feeling AI is going to hurt us organic SEOs even more.
Here's my theory: Searchers are already using AI results on search engines to get their questions answered. They're skipping linked results more and more which is the organic listings that lead to our blogs - the content we've worked hard on getting listed. However, what is also happening is AI is being looked at before the sponsored listings on the search results pages. So, my theory is that search engines will start using the sponsored content in the AI results which will ultimately dismantle organic results. I love AI but it's going to kill SEO as we know it.
How do you all feel about this theory?
