Affiliate Network vs. Individual Affiliates

Have any of you used both types of affiliate marketing?

(1) An affiliate network like AvantLink or Amazon Associates.

(2) Individual affiliate marketing such as Elegant Themes or Web Hosting Service.

Which do you think performs better? Why?

In my experience, it is really difficult to generate sales through affiliate networks like Amazon Associate, Clickbank, etc. I find individual affiliates better. For instance, when I use some services/products and I like them and if they have affiliate program, I try to promote them.

Personally, I agree.

This is especially true when you're using an affiliate link to a product that targets the needs and wants of your niche audience.

That's really where you're going to make the most money in affiliate marketing.
