Have you ever heard of blog comment exchanges before?

This is where you comment on a blog in exchange the blogger comments on your blog.

It's a way to increase engagement.

How does something like this sound to you as a way to increase engagement?
 
I used to regularly engage on comment exchange when I was new. I did not like my blog post with zero comments, so I used to exchange comments. But these days I d not bother with comment exchange

Most comments are spam or low quality. Comments on blogs rarely shows close reading of the content. Those who actually read rarely leave the comment and when they leave it is usually to ask something relevant to the content. I do not see any point of getting comments like good writing, I like it, etc.

I've been seeing a BIG improvement with spam comments, obviously using AI.
